This venue for a wedding is absolutely stunning - as long as you don't intend to count on the staff for essentially anything. Being in the service industry for many years, I could not believe how rude and unprofessional the staff was, particularly management and whomever was supposed to be helping the bride. They continued to show their distaste for our large wedding party in an obvious and unprofessional manner. The rooms, which cost a minimum of $200, did not all have heat in December and when we asked what could be done, the woman replied "I'm not an engineer." It was more than in poor taste and what's worse is you hardly have someone to discuss these matters with because they are setting the example. Finally, at the end of the evening, we asked for a glass of water and MANAGEMENT instructed the server not to get it. Absolutely horrific service on their end.
My wife and I stayed for the weekend. Amazingly beautiful hotel with a very nice innkeeper. The one star is off because of the community bathroom, which in all fairness, we knew about going into the stay. However, it was a less than desirable experience to take a shower while one complete stranger brushed his teeth and another used the toilet.
